History

Delux Productions S.A., owned and led by Bob Bellion and Jimmy De Brabant since 2003 was originally founded in 1991 as a joint venture by RTL Group and Joop van den Ende to be fully owned by RTL Group from 1994 to 2003. It has produced or co-produced more than 40 feature films, including "Girl with a Pearl Earring, "Shadow of the Vampire", "Merchant of Venice" and "The Pillow Book" as well as numerous TV movies and TV series.

Awards like a "Golden Globe" and "Emmy" for "One against the Wind", "Emmy" for its TV Miniseries "Danielle Steel's Jewels", two "Academy Award" nominations for "Shadow of the Vampire", three "Academy Award" nominations and win of "Golden and Silver Hitchcock" for "Girl with a Pearl Earring", "Grand Prize", "Fun Radio Trophy" and "Audience Award" at the Fantastic Film Festival of Gerardmer for "An American Werewolf in Paris", "Hollywood Discovery Award" of the Hollywood Film Festival and the Dutch "Golden Calf" for "Moonlight", "Letzebuerger Filmpräis" and "Audience Award of the Brussels Film Festival" for "House of Boys", and numerous other prestigious nominations (Bafta, Golden Palm, …) and wins all over the world confirm the Company's status as one of the leading independent production companies in Europe.

The company's core activity is to develop, finance and co-produce international feature films with box office potential made by Luxembourg nationals or Luxembourg-resident staff together with partners, cast and staff from European countries as well from the US and Canada. Delux Productions has partnered with Los Angeles - based Moonstone Entertainment on a joint venture to develop and produce theatrical films. In 2010, Bob and Jimmy founded the Berlin-based production company Infinity 8 Films. Among their regular European co-production partners are companies in Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK, France and Italy.
